Sarah and I met at college and have been married for 21 years. She has been God’s gift to me and has been an excellent wife and partner in ministry. Sarah’s primary ministry during this season of life is homeschooling the four wonderful children that God has entrusted to us. Liam (16), Finn (14), Cormac (11), and Niamh (8) bring so much joy to our lives as we strive to raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord and witness their own unique personalities and gifting develop.

Ministry Passion

Over the last twelve years of full-time ministry, it has been my joy to discover a passion for expositional preaching, equipping the saints for the work of ministry, leadership development, and an overarching love for the Church. I am convinced of my call to shepherd a like-minded group of Christians that share a mission and values driven by a high view of God’s sovereignty, a zeal for the Gospel of Christ, and a firm commitment to the truth of God’s Word.

Conversion & Calling

The Lord saved me in my late 20’s, well after I would have identified myself as a believer. God used the preaching, teaching and discipleship in my local church to convict me of my sin and of my need for Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Through continued involvement with our church, and with the affirmation of trusted believers, we answered God’s call to serve in full-time ministry in 2009.

On the mission field, God challenged, stretched, and matured my faith. It was also during this time that God called me to pastoral ministry. I began to prepare myself for this by enrolling in seminary and continuing to serve in the local church. We moved back to the States in 2012 to earn a degree, which was completed in 2015, just after coming to Victory Baptist, where I currently serve.

It is incredible to look back and see God at work in my life, even when I was wandering away from the fold. In gratitude for what God has done, I desire, with God’s help, to be a shepherd leader in my home and in my church – and to joyfully exalt our God, faithfully declare the Christ-centered Word, intentionally demonstrate Christian love, passionately evangelize the lost, and to selflessly equip others to accomplish God’s purposes.
